Mount Isa Mining Projects
Auzscot Constructions are based in Cloncurry and have developed a strong working relationship with the Mount Isa Mines contractors and vendors. The Mount Isa Mines have been operational since the 1920’s and are a major supplier of copper and zinc throughout Australia.
Acquired by Glencore in 2013, the Mount Isa Mines continue to be a huge part of the Mount Isa economy, employing over 20% of the population. Auzscot Constructions are proud to have contributed expert mining solutions across the region.
Our Building and Asset Services
Auzscot Constructions have supported the Mount Isa Mine projects by providing a range of building and asset services. We have worked on a range of projects including the New Lake Moondarra Weather Station.
We have performed a number of maintenance tasks and building and asset services across the mining sites. We have assisted with installing concrete pad works, footings, asbestos wall sheeting, fence gates and more. We have also assisted with the installation of pipe supports and stainless steel pipe.

Backed by years of experience building and maintaining substations, we supplied substation construction services to the Mount Isa Mines. We have worked on building and maintaining a number of substations from the Kennedy Energy Project, to the Lavarack Barrack ELF project and more. Throughout our work on the Mount Isa Mines, we worked on the MIT switch room and MIT switchyard, as well as the construction of the V73 substation.
